If you submit the needed initial evidence and supporting documents with Form I-485, we may not need to issue a Request for Evidence (RFE) to acquire additional proof and documentation. Reduce time by submitting Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, with Form I-485. A completed Form I-693 is normally considered legitimate for two years following the date the civil surgeon signed Form I-693. Furthermore, the USCIS is temporarily eliminating the requirement that the civil surgeon’s signature be dated no more than 60 days before you file your Form I-485 from December 9, 2021 to March 31, 2023.

On December 23, 2022, the new edition of Form I-485 (edition date 12/23/22). If you file Form I-485 on or after December 23, 2022, you must use the 12/23/22 edition of Form I-485 or your submission will be rejected.
